Awards Categories
Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Distinction awards will be assigned to small, medium, and large hospitals in each of the following categories. (See Official Rules for complete details.)

Best Direct-to-Consumer
Best Marketing to Physicians
Best Marketing of Quality
- Campaigns that market performance indicators, consumer preference, or point to quality data are welcome (HCHAPS, CMS, patient safety data, etc.)
Best Service Line Marketing-Cardiology
Best Service Line Marketing-Oncology
Best Service Line Marketing-Women’s Health
Best Service Line Marketing-Neurology
Best Service Line Marketing-Orthopedics
Best Service Line Marketing-Other
- This category is for all other service line marketing, not Cardiology, Oncology, Women’s Health, Neurology, or Orthopedics.
Best Internal Communications
- All internal communications campaigns are welcome. If you have an internal recruitment campaign, be sure to enter it in the Best Staff Recruitment Campaign category.
Best Integrated Marketing Campaign
- This category requires entrants to submit three types of media to qualify.
Best Children’s Hospital Campaign
Best Community Relations Campaign
- This category includes all public relations campaigns, live events (open houses, groundbreakings, health fairs, etc.) and fundraising campaign efforts.
Best Use of New Media
- This category includes blogs, Web sites, podcasts, and other innovative uses of non-traditional media.
Best Fundraising Campaign
Best Staff Recruitment Campaign
- An example of this would be a campaign for nurse recruitment.
Best Annual Report Campaign
Best Multicultural Campaign
Best Global Campaign
- This category is for all marketing campaigns for non-U.S. organizations.
Best in Show
- If you enter into any of the above categories, you will automatically be entered into this one. The judges will pick one winner from all entries!
Best Health Plan Marketing
- This category is open to marketing campaigns of all types from health plans.
Best Physician Practice Marketing
- This category is open to marketing campaigns of all types from physician practices.
